Salisbury, Inc. is a family owned company of proud and dedicated artisans
who recognize the importance of preserving our heritage while creating new
and exciting products that are sure to become tomorrow's treasured heirlooms.
Salisbury Pewter and Salisbury Sterling is produced to the highest quality
standards. Our various collections have been designed to capture the spirit of
American life. We continually develop and refine new products in an effort to
provide the most elegant and unique pieces possible.
Salisbury, Inc. has been producing fine, hand-crafted silver and pewter products
since 1979. We are located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with manufacturing
facilities in Salisbury and Easton.
For more than 187 years, Reed and Barton has enjoyed a longstanding reputation as one of the country's
foremost marketers of fine tableware and giftware.
Even as far back as the 1820's, Reed and Barton's first president, Henry Reed, was known to walk the
production floors of his factory and destroy items not meeting his stringent expectations for quality.
That unwavering commitment to excellence in all of our products, and an unbroken legacy of craft in
the classic materials we employ, have endured through the ages and are still very much a part of the
Reed and Barton culture.
Established in 1902 and acquired by Reed and Barton in 2010, Lunt's distinctive product line is the
perfect compliment to Reed and Barton's extensive array of tableware, serverware and giftware. The Lunt
collection includes an exceptional offering of flatware, picture frames, baby gifts and Christmas
ornaments. For elegant entertaining and cherished gifts, Lunt offers an array of products that enrich
traditions and elevate each moment. U.S. Government chose Lunt's Embassy Scroll sterling silver flatware
pattern for use as the official tableware in all U.S. embassies and consulates around the world.
Sterling silver has a rich history that goes back hundreds of years. It has been
coveted for its beauty and intrinsic value and has always made a stunning gift.
Empire and Salisbury use only sterling with a minimum of 92.5% of pure silver (925).
Pewter can be shown in its historic dull finish (satin) or the new popular silver-like
finish (bright). Pewter's appeal stems from its affordable price and maintenance-free
care. Unlike sterling, pewter will not tarnish. Empire and Salisbury use only lead-free
pewter made in the United States in all its products.
Pewter is made of the highest quality lead-free alloy; sterling is .925 silver. After
use, wash your pewter or sterling silver in warm water using mild soap with a soft towel.
Your pewter and sterling should never be exposed to an open flame or excessive heat. Store
trays flat, cups standing upright, etc., to prevent warping. Do not wrap pewter or sterling
in anything other than the original wrapping to prevent scratching. With proper care, your
pewter and sterling silver will last for generations.
Never put pewter or sterling in a dishwasher.
Hand wash only.
